I was genuinely surprised by how closely this place recreates the atmosphere of a traditional Korean gopchang restaurant. From the setup to the dining experience, it felt just like being back in Korea. What made it even better was that the prices were very reasonable, just like in Korea, while still offering generous portions and excellent quality. The food was delicious, the ingredients tasted fresh, and there was absolutely none of the unpleasant odor that gopchang can sometimes have. You can tell the chefs really know what they're doing. One tip: if you order meat, make sure to finish your meal with fried rice. That's the authentic Korean way to enjoy gopchang, and it's absolutely worth it! Great food, generous portions, fair prices, and a truly authentic Korean dining experience. Highly recommended.

This place is so fire 🔥 We always stop here on our way down to FL. The Japchae is so good. It's hearty and filling. The soon tofu is delicious too!! The seafood pancakes are also yummy!!! We love this place so much and the atmosphere is chill ❤️

We had a great dinner at Hwangso Gopchang here in Richmond Hill. If you're looking for high-quality K-BBQ, this is definitely the spot. The beef brisket was sliced perfectly and melted in your mouth, and the LA Galbi was marinated just right—really tender and flavorful. You can tell there is a lot of pride in the kitchen. Even the side dishes felt like they were made with real care and high-quality ingredients, not just thrown together. I absolutely loved the pickled radish, and my wife couldn't get enough kimchi. The spicy ramen seafood soup was also delicious! It felt like a genuine, home-cooked feast. The best part of the night was the service. Our server, Tak, was incredibly welcoming and friendly. He made us feel like we were guests in his own home rather than just people at a table. Great food, great atmosphere, and we’ll definitely be back.

I ordered takeout and left a $5 tip when I signed the receipt, but the final charge later showed a $10 tip. The tip was increased without my authorization. I only noticed it because I checked my card statement—otherwise, I would not have known. Please double-check your receipts and card statements if you visit this restaurant. Very disappointing.

Good Korean restaurant with good service. We order set A of Gopchang (intestines) BBQ and the staff brought our food out quickly and helped us grilled and seasoned. The wait for table is a bit long but it is ok. The place is spacious and they put curtain between table so you have privacy. The place has the Korean restaurant vibe and full of Korean; which is in itself an indicator of how authentic it is. The BBQ was good and enough to fill two adult males to the brim. We ordered sliced beef soup as well and it was pretty good (slightly too salty). Recommended and will come back myself when I have a chance
